7th Annual Blaine Jazz Festival
Downtown Blaine, WA
Seven exciting days of rehearsals, combos, improv, composition, and other great classes for teens with an internationally recognized faculty culminating in a jazz concert featuring student big bands, combos and vocal groups PLUS multiple performances by visiting jazz artists. The festival concludes with the 2nd annual Jazz Arts Fair in Downtown Blaine, bewteen H & G Streets on Peace Portal. The Jazz Arts Fair will feature free live jazz concerts on G & H Street Plaza's along with Arts, Crafts, Children's Art Contest and Food vendors.
Jazz Festival Concert Series:
In addition to our formal educational program, the Blaine Jazz Festival features a series of concerts during the week.

2nd Annual Blaine Art & Jazz Street Fair
& Kid's Visual Art Contest
Downtown Blaine, WA

Time: 11AM to 5PM
The week-long Blaine Jazz Festival will culminate with an "Art to Jazz" Street Fair on Saturday, July 12th. A portion of Peace Portal Drive will be closed to allow artists from all over the county to exhibit their works.
There will also be a variety of food vendors, and activities for the whole family.
Jazz music featuring students from this year's festival will be playing on both the G Street and H Street Boardwalk plazas simultaneously from 11 am to 4 pm.
Live Music Scheduled:
Let's Rock - 11AM on H Street Plaza
ClassicsPlus - 12 Noon
Combos - 1PM to 4PM - G Street Plaza
Vocal Solos & Jazz Bands - 1PM to 4PM - H Street Plaza
133rd Army Band will play at Noon in Downtown Blaine and at 6PM in Blaine Marine Park.
Kid's Visual Arts Contest
Kids will also have an opportunity to show their talent by participating in an art contest with cash prizes for the best paintings. The contest will run from 11 am to 3 pm with the prizes awarded at 4 pm.
The 4 divisions of the art contest are:
- Division 1, Age 3 to 5, (ribbon & certificate award only)
- Division 2, Age 6 to 9, $50, 1st; $20, 2nd; $10, 3rd
- Division 3, Age 10 to 13, $50, 1st; $20, 2nd; $10, 3rd
- Division 4, Age 14 to 17, $50, 1st; $20, 2nd; $10, 3rd

Plover Ferry Rides - Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday through Labor Day Weekend. Ride the oldest passenger foot ferry in Washington State from Blaine Harbor to Semiahmoo Resort. The boat is licensed to carry 17 passengers. For more information, visit www.draytonharbormaritime.org
Sailing Schedule: Leaves Blaine Harbor from the base of the gangway at gate two below Blaine Harbor Center on the hour, and leaves Semiahmoo for the return trip on the half hour.

Located at the entrance to Semiahmoo Spit on the west side of Drayton Harbor. The park contains the Drayton Harbor Maritime Association Museum, which features the history of the Alaska Packers Association, a restored Bristol Bay sailboat and exhibits that illustrate local history and explain salmon fishing, canning and local wildlife.
